National Front (FN)
a far-right French political party founded in 1972, known for its nationalist, anti-immigrant, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, and other extremist views. Long a fringe element of French politics, the FN has experienced a recent surge in popularity driven by economic discontent and the image rehabilitation efforts of party leader Marine Le Pen, who supports pulling France out of the eurozone.
