NATO-Russia Council
a forum, established at the 2002 NATO-Russia Summit, to strengthen relations between Russia and the NATO alliance. Regular meetings of the council, which facilitates cooperative discussion and action on shared concerns such as nonproliferation and counterterrorism, were suspended after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
